Although this could very well be a picture of me finding a new treasure at a favorite nursery, it's actually an illustration by David Catrow for a children's book called Plantzilla.

Wednesday Vignette - Merry Spring ?

On the way out to Judi Hook's place there's a long stretch of road through scenery like this:

Hey wait, what's that out there in the middle of nowhere?

I don't know who decorated this tree but this was the day after a rather strong windstorm (50 mile an hour winds with stronger gusts) so the ornaments must have been wired on pretty securely.
Wednesday Vignette is hosted each week by Anna at Flutter and Hum.  Click here to join in the fun!

  1. Haha - what a fun surprise! Amazing that the baubles remained through that wind-whipping. Whoever did this, meant to do it right!

  2. What fun! Someone with a good sense of humor. There's a bottle tree with a bunch of blue bottles stuck on it at the side of the road here in Bonney Lake. It's not in front of anyone's house, just a random roadside tree in a woodsy area.

  8. Ha, love it! There's a hiking trail not too far from me that goes up to a rocky scenic overlook, and someone put Christmas ornaments all over the big tree right there. Very fun!

  9. So funny - I wonder if someone celebrated Christma under it?
