It's been another busy week and I've had a bit of a cold that has left me feeling unmotivated to play in the garden, even though the sun finally made an appearance on Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday. Usually, a nice warm bowl of soup is just the thing for a cold but this bowl makes me feel pretty good too!
Hellebore time only comes once a year so we might as well enjoy it!
How did that camellia sneak in there?
The green double one, 'Martha' was pure white earlier.
A few camellia and heuchera leaves joined the group to replace celebratory floating candles (the flames would have singed the flowers.)
No props this week, just a bowl of blooms and a happy blogaversary wish to Cathy! Thanks as always for hosting!
Nothing like a bowl of Hellebores to make one feel better! I can't wait till mine are up and blooming so I can do the same. Such a nice way to enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful, Peter - Martha is a a stunner! Wish I lived closer - I would bring you soup. Hope you feel better soon! <3
ReplyDeleteThis is some collection you have there Peter. Stunning. I always find it impossible to pick just one or two favorites. I don't have this problem with other plants, just with Hellebores. If I had the space I would have one of each, just like you :-)
ReplyDeleteFeel better! It's the first day of spring!
Simple perfection! Hope you feel better soon. When's spring break?
ReplyDeleteThanks. Spring break is April 3 - 7
DeleteThat is a beautiful bowl of blooms! I put something like that together with my Hellebore blooms a couple of years ago, but some of my Hellebores have declined since planting, I'm not sure why. Sorry you're not feeling up to par, hope you're feeling better soon, now that spring is here. It looks like we might have some springlike weather in the forecast.
ReplyDeleteYou have a gorgeous collection of hellebores, Peter! I hope you feel better soon - a cold is no way to start spring off!
ReplyDeleteGosh, that bright yellow hellebore is a stunner, Peter - hope it helps to brighten your day and bring some sunshine to boost your immune system so you can get rid of that cold!
ReplyDeleteDelicious.
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful collection of Hellebores (and Camellia). Mine have been wanting to bloom for weeks now, but I kept them covered so they wouldn't freeze. I know they're tough, but I want the blooms to last as long as possible. Also, what AlisonC said.
ReplyDeleteOh, so pretty. this is the best way to enjoy hellebore blooms.
ReplyDeletesuch a variety of hellebores - one of my favourite flowers, especially the dramatic black one. The sneaky camellia's pretty nice too, taking pride of place in the centre.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I hope you are feeling better with each new day.
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring, FlowerLady
What a beautiful collection of hellebores you have, Peter, not hella-boring at all! ;)
