It started with thoughts of camellias brought on by this thrift-store find vase.
Joining the camellias are a couple of grape hyacinths and some Kerria japonica prunings.
Joining the vase this week are some ceramic eggs with grape hyacinths found on the sale table of a local nursery several years ago.
When you added those Kerria I was a little unsure of your choice until I saw the white Camellia. Perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love the pink frill of this vase...and such bright colors to get me smiling for spring even with snow on the ground here....I especially love the muscari! A fav of mine.
ReplyDeleteooh, those ceramic eggs are a wonderful addition to the arrangemenyt - I love them, Peter! And surprisingly the camellia don't look as gaudy together as I thought they might - they look bright and cheerful instead. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteSo colorful! Yes, that would keep me smiling too.
ReplyDeleteObviously I'm going to have to look into adding camellias to my garden... Thanks for sharing yours!
ReplyDeleteThe ceramic eggs are wonderful. I think you also did a great job with the larger arrangement. I'm already envious of other people's Camellias as mine are now only just a memory.
ReplyDeleteYour eggs are an apt reminder that we are so close to Easter. The camelias are lovely.
ReplyDeleteLovely, and I love the eggs. Camellias are something I miss having relocated to sugar sand in South Florida, so I love seeing yours. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteA lovely Easter display, Peter. I can't believe it is next Sunday!
ReplyDeleteYour vase looks so frilly and spring-like with these blooms. Happy IAVOM.
ReplyDeleteA very pretty arrangement! Camellias are in my vase today too.
ReplyDeleteLove that primary color action you have going on !
ReplyDeleteSmiles indeed! That’s some damn fine spring vase action.
ReplyDeleteYour Camellias are lovely - isn't it amazing that such exuberant flowers bloom so early in cold weather! Have a good week in the garden Peter!
