As the golden autumn sun rises in the little room where I sit at the computer,
the day is already old five thousand miles away in Spain.
This moment laughing happy feel it be it
Curve of face warmth of hands butterflies
Pinned in place when it mends try
This moment ripened bursting taste it name it
This moment precious fleeting catch it frame it
Curve of moon warmth of air willow bough
Winter soon be aware now how
This sadness aching reaching looking on
At this moment present distant shining bubble touch it lose it
Happy laughing perfect golden
Gone.

Oh my - saw this and realized this schedule is really messing me up! Better get on it... I missed my own meme!!!! Your office is quite lovely - no wonder you write such inspired posts! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful stained glass window in your computer room.
ReplyDeleteI will look for that golden moment today. Yesterday I was too busy. Today I need it.
ReplyDeleteIs the computer room the former plant migration area? I like it's new purpose better :-)
ReplyDeleteYou always find a perfect song to go with your posts. Or maybe you have a song playing in your head and you tailor a post to it? Hmmm.
Where is this magnificent cathedral?
No, this isn't the former plant migration area. These are just a couple of stained glass panels that are sitting in windows, not installed. I'll ask Tom about the cathedral location. Somehow, I lost track of the city but it's in Spain.
DeleteThe songs usually pop into my head as I'm writing something or looking at a picture. They are always playing in my head so life is one continual musical where I often expect crowds to break into song. The cathedral is in Salamanca.
DeletePurdy! So do you have the window cracked open a bit there? Or is there a clear glass space in the middle?
ReplyDeleteTwo different panels sitting in the top and bottom of a clear glass double hung window.
DeleteDo you get winter sunlight there too? That would really lift my spirits during the off season.
ReplyDeleteYes, there is winter sunlight but only for a short time in the morning. East facing windows.
DeleteI love how stained glass interprets the light!
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteBeautiful! I love morning and evening golden moments. Despite the ugliness of the neighbor's clear-cut property, I've been enjoying the increased light in the evenings for those moments.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! Are these your works of art?
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful, Peter. Sometimes the light is magical and we are blessed to witness it!
