Although this could very well be a picture of me finding a new treasure at a favorite nursery, it's actually an illustration by David Catrow for a children's book called Plantzilla.

Christmas at Willow Tree Gardens and Interiors

Willow Tree Gardens and Interiors becomes a holiday wonderland each year.  I revel in a the festive decor and quietly sing along with the seasonal music.  Come, grab a cookie and some hot chocolate (adding a little peppermint Schnapps will help) and take a look around with me.

Thymes Frasier Fir scented products with matching green and white trees.  Love that fragrance!

"I see a red door and I want to paint it black"

Mary, Joseph and Jesus in a trunk.  Must be they're packing up for the flight to Egypt.  Who knew there were skating polar bears in the middle east?

It's time to put a tree in the lavatory!

What, you don't use snowshoes on your tree?

So much to see - so much work to put it all together.

Of course, after seeing all of this,  you're wondering how I've decorated for the holidays.  So far, turning my de-motivational calendar, a gift from Alison the niece,  page to December is the extent of it.
Wishing you a joyful weekend!

  1. Oh, I love that calendar! Alison is the best! Both you, she and I seem to have a similar approach to this madness... I feel for the retail folks who have to take all of that down again. Have a nice, relaxing Christmad, Peter!

  2. Lucky I don't live near that store as I actually saw some things that would tempt me. Have a lovely holiday. It helps hosting the family Christmas at our house to get me in the mood as there are still a few kids left to make it fun.

  3. The seemingly never ending ideas and the abundance of the displays... some that I would have thought garish, but end up enticing. Tis the season.
Mary, Joseph and Jesus in a trunk is the best idea. Just shut the lid and put them away for another season. Very practical.

  4. I do love over the top Christmas displays, so I'll have to put this one on my list!
Decorated to the nines here, we will host our second function this afternoon/evening. It's a lot of work, but I do love sharing it with others and living in it myself. I might have to hire someone to come in and put it all away, though, as I am wearing down a bit. Plenty of time after Christmas to crash.
Now I am off to deliver Christmas cookies to friends and then attend Becky's Brunch. I get to be treated for a change!

  7. Whoa, this is over the top. Reading your commentary was almost as good as wandering the place with you. I don't need a demotivational calendar, I have one playing in my head at all times. Hope you have a joyful weekend, and a very merry Christmas too!

  8. Now, that's a Christmas fix! (Did you experience a post-sugar high let-down afterwards?) I loved the skating polar bears, although the juxtaposition with Mary & Joseph was a bit odd.

  9. I liked the icicle tree. Now this is a LOT of Christmas in one place. Fun but it wears me out just looking at it.
