When I first saw this many years ago, I assumed that someone had painted the tank. By morning, the tank was blank again. Things aren't always what they seem.
This is a little show that I look forward to seeing as I leave the parking lot at work. Notice the clear sky? Tuesday morning was the first this year that required me to scrape ice from my car windshield and the clear/cold weather is supposed to last for a week.

The best artist of all!
ReplyDeleteSo painting trees on this behemoth wouldn't have been so silly after all :-)
ReplyDeleteI love these cold crisp mornings...especially since my car is garaged and need no scraping. I'm just so happy it stopped raining for a minute.
That shadow painting is fascinating. Yep, you've probably noticed the trees painted on the water tank here on the hill going down into Sumner. It does sound kind of silly, but I like it.
ReplyDeleteI like the painted tank on your hill too, It reflects the surroundings well & always makes me smile.
DeleteI am amazed by the shadow painting. It is so mysterious! I really enjoyed seeing it.
ReplyDeleteOh!!! Excellent capture. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad they left that white canvas for Mother Nature to do her thing on - fabulous!
ReplyDeleteHow cool! No pun intended with reference to the icy crust on your car - I wouldn't be happy about scraping ice off my car either.
ReplyDeleteLove those kind of light tricks. I know I should feel bad that you have iced car windows but it is hard when I know your cold days are ones we'd call warm!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful painting by the sun.
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to catch phenomena like this. It's actually very pretty. Thanks for sharing the scene. :)
ReplyDeleteYou captured a magic moment. Thanks for sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteNature's painting, and a great capture by you.
ReplyDeleteThat has to be the most beautiful water tower ever. If an artist could capture that image and paint it exactly the same it would be stunning. Sort of like a giant 'Camera Lucida'.
