Although this could very well be a picture of me finding a new treasure at a favorite nursery, it's actually an illustration by David Catrow for a children's book called Plantzilla.

Wednesday Vignette: To A Wild Rose
Thanks to Anna at Flutter and Hum for hosting our weekly Vignette party! Click here to join in the fun!
Five little petals, so sweet, innocent, and fragrant.
Wonderful, rain-washed roses, and ditto accompaniment. That piece reminds me of my grandfather who not only played the violin, but also built them! Thank you for that sweet memory! :)
Beautiful shots Peter, they are special roses. Loved the music, it soothed my frazzled nerves and now I think I may go and spend some time in the garden. Thank you so much for your comments on my blog, I really appreciate them.

ReplyDeleteGlad that it brought back a sweet memory!
DeleteAnd covered with raindrops too!
ReplyDeleteIt sometimes happens in these parts.
DeleteGlowing roses :)
ReplyDeleteSweet! More rain?!? Sigh.
ReplyDeleteWild Roses are awesome! Thanks for the musical interlude, too. I'm all calm and happy now!
ReplyDeleteCalm and happy is good!
DeleteWild roses always remind me of my childhood. They grew prolifically along our Willamette Valley country roads.

ReplyDeleteYummy, especially with the raindrops.
ReplyDeleteThe sweet simplicity of single roses speaks to me. Lovely photos, Peter.
