"It is only where the light and shadow meet, we can see the beauty of both the light and the shadow!"
 - Mehmet Murat ildan

"Life is a continuum: neither black nor white, but a series of shades from light to dark.  When the shadow is in front of you, all you see is the darkness and forget the sun is at your back."
 - Brownell Landrum

"Shadow is Light's child. It is nothing without the Light, and nothing if it falls into Darkness."
- Anne Hamiltion

  1. Love all those quotes on light and shade - and your photos too. Those palm fronds and their dark shadows are so dramatic! ~ Anna

  2. Nice photos and great quotes! Palms always make such wonderful shadows, but they trigger my arachnophobia, especially that last one.

  3. All of those people that do Shadow Sunday would love this post as much as I do. The quotes do give me something to think about. Cheers.

  4. Great photos and food-for-thought quotes, though the "forget the sun is at your back" doesn't happen when it's 95F and the sun is hammering down.

  6. You really see the form of these leaves this way — almost more so than when you are actually looking at the various plants.
