Throw in a few leaves of a Catalpa tree that I cut down many years ago that still emerge every spring.
They all went together in a vase placed inside of a glass thingy I made. Joining the arrangement is a mask made by a local artist (because it was already on the wall.)
In a vase on Monday is hosted by Cathy at Rambling in the garden. Click here to join the floral fiesta.
Everything looks perfect together, including the way the mask is related in tone and feel to the vase. Those two plants in particular were meant to be paired. I love the bit of blue in the Euphorbia. I don't know if the glass is reflecting the flowers or just happens to be the same tones; either way it's a stunning container.
ReplyDeleteWow. It turned out great. The plant's reflection in the glass is stunning.
ReplyDeleteLove the look of the hellstrip and invasive-tree vase. Every time I cut Euphorbia blooms the aphids soon follow. If so then you'll get to add "pests" to the mix too, yay!
ReplyDeletevery nice information, i want to share best gardening tool to maintain weed is Walk Behind Trimmer, Thanks.
ReplyDeleteOh I love the glass thingy you made and it makes a perfect vase.....another fabulous display!
ReplyDeleteI love the whole vignette, Peter! Your glass "thingy" is beautiful. I've never thought of combining Ceanothus and Euphorbia but now I will.
ReplyDeleteColors are just fantastic. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI love that glass container. It sets everything off beautifully. Very fond of Catalpas but don't grow them.
ReplyDeleteGlass thingy is a thing, very interesting. A nice arrangement too.
ReplyDeleteCutting back the parking strip is a good excuse to fill vases. I like the glass thingy! ;) It's iridescence matches the head's leafy 'hair.'
ReplyDeleteA beautiful arrangement. I love those colors together. Kind of like my favorite sports team. :-)
ReplyDeleteWell, I must say combining Ceanothus with E. wulfenii is pretty inspired. Much drama !
ReplyDeleteThese look so effective in your glass thingy, Peter, coming togther stylishly as they also do with your Vases on Monday. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteYou have got the perfect colours for that glass 'thingy'! I love Ceanothus, but it isn't really hardy enough for us here. I am surprised the Euphorbia goes so well with it, but it works! :)
ReplyDeleteThis all goes together beautifully and is very striking. Quite dramatic.
