Ah, those lazy days of summer are what we live for. The business of spring and early summer is over and fall clean up is at least a couple of months away. What does one do to enjoy this special time in the garden? Sunbathe of course. It's important to have enough furniture for all of one's guests to sit comfortably unless of course y'all are very close.
Hope you are enjoying the lazy days of summer in whatever way makes you happy.
Are these the turtles at Flower World? They do appear to be having fun.
ReplyDeletePerfect! The fish seem to wonder what in the world is going on... Wish I had all my garden projects done, but I don't. They seem to constantly multiply, but this year it feels like I have at least made a dent. Perhaps soon, I will be able to enjoy just lounging out there. One can always hope!
ReplyDeleteI do love me some turtles...
ReplyDeleteAhh cute!!
ReplyDeleteLOL. Yes, those are close quarters, indeed. Apparently they're all inspired by those little patches of sun.
ReplyDeleteThey're shining! I thought they were metal sculptures at first.
ReplyDeleteA great example of summer life at its best: basking turtles! It's been a while since I've done any basking myself though...
ReplyDeleteFunny.
ReplyDeleteMy addiction to politics is cramping my summer laziness style, keeping me near a TV instead of outside reading and enjoying the garden. I can do my electronic reading in front of the TV though, like right now.
My Grand Girl brings her turtle over when she stays during the week. We set up a small plastic swimming pool as its home. It is not nearly as artfully done as the one above but since the Mississippi Mud Turtle prefers to be dug in to a mud bank, I think he/she/it is happy enough. Sure wish she wanted to pose for some good turtle pictures.
