Although this could very well be a picture of me finding a new treasure at a favorite nursery, it's actually an illustration by David Catrow for a children's book called Plantzilla.

Happy Independence Day!
Here are some floral fireworks from the Gig Harbor Farmers' Market grown by independent family-owned local growers.
Beautiful! Our farmers markets here don't sell flowers. I'm convinced the only plants VA grows are wine grapes, petunias, and boxwoods. When I get to Portland next week, I may never leave.
Happy Independence Day to you, too! Those bouquets are really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOH, so beautiful! Happy day to you too.

Sweet Peas on the Fourth of July -- only where it's cool. They are kewl.
ReplyDeleteFloral fireworks will never blow your fingers off! We gardeners do need our fingers.
