A slave to the Goddess Flora shares his garden adventures.

Although this could very well be a picture of me finding a new treasure at a favorite nursery, it's actually an illustration by David Catrow for a children's book called Plantzilla.

Merry Christmas!
Santa and I wish all of our gardening friends a very merry Christmas and a new year full of great garden adventures!
Well, there's world peace, health, and prosperity for all but I've started making my wishes a bit more realistic. I also hope that our paths will cross again this year!
It's a lot of work to try and plant trees on the north pole this time of year. You'd think he'd just wait until spring and choose a land mass rather than an ice cap but Santa's starting to lose his grip on reality. Anyway, I hope that you are also having a relaxing and enjoyable Christmas!
He is suffering from sleigh lag, but he promised to help in the reforestation of Iceland before vacation. I tried to tell him that it's easier to dig holes when the ground isn't frozen solid but does he listen to me? NO!
Happy Christmas and a wonderful new gardening year to you too Peter. Oh dear Santa' s lost his hat. I find the sight of his bald head a bit unsettling. I had no idea that he was bald.
He shaved his head in the fall to participate in a music video and it hasn't grown back yet. He'll work on it for next year. (I'm guessing hair plugs.)
Great garden adventures--what more could we ask for! The same to you! I hope I paths will cross again in 2015.

DeleteMerry Christmas! What a cute Santa. He does look a little tired, but then he's just traveled the globe. Time for him to rest for a year. :)
