Although this could very well be a picture of me finding a new treasure at a favorite nursery, it's actually an illustration by David Catrow for a children's book called Plantzilla.

Wordless Wednesday - From a Parking Strip in Seattle
I though maybe it was saying that you shouldn't bolt things to the roots of your trees or they'd get sick. On the other hand Seattle's air is full of pot smoke now that it's legal so maybe that urbanist breath thing has to do with that.
Krebs Cycle/Calvin Cycle in a nutshell
ReplyDeleteThere you go!
DeleteVery unique!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting piece of sculpture!
ReplyDeleteIt does make one think.
DeleteThe closer/longer I look, the more I see. The more I see, the more I wonder....
ReplyDeleteIt's a vicious cycle that thinking thing.
DeleteCrutches in art... What innovative, thoughtful work---the sentiments very PNW :) I like it.
ReplyDeletePerhaps you could use that pair of crutches in your own home to make a statement in your garden?
DeleteInteresting, a little odd. I'm left wondering about the materials (crutches and a bed frame?), where was this found? Outside a hospital?
ReplyDeleteOutside an art museum.
DeleteI'm speechless
ReplyDeleteWhat can one say about it? It is what it is.
DeleteThis is certainly thought-provoking! Which thoughts, I do not know yet...
ReplyDeleteI had a thought once but forgot it. The reason I'm so happy - no brain, no pain.
DeleteYour readers are too polite.
ReplyDeleteIs this a statement against mulch volcanoes?

DeleteWell, I suppose it protects the tree from getting bumped. There must be a joke in there about a bumper crop but I'll spare us...
ReplyDeleteChortle! Don't knock 'em till you xylem?
DeleteIt looks like a very creative place to tether bicycles.
ReplyDeleteIt does.
DeleteOnly the one tree was so embellished/protected? I wonder if a larger installation is planned?
ReplyDeleteInteresting point. I'll have to go back and check!
