Although this could very well be a picture of me finding a new treasure at a favorite nursery, it's actually an illustration by David Catrow for a children's book called Plantzilla.

  1. Wow! I feel sorry for those beauties in the fountain! I'm glad our snow is gone, although I do love to look at snowy and icy pictures!

    1. Those poor ladies do look cold! I'm also glad that the cold is gone but am not fond of the strong wind we got last night!

  5. Dear lord! Amazing ice pictures (but in mid February? it's almost painful)
Who's garden is it? Can we have a repeat visit when the ice is gone later in Spring? I'm a sucker for Before and After themes.

    1. I'll definitely go back. The fountain is outside of a hair salon in Spanaway, WA. There is also a nice garden full of cool plants to check out.

  6. Amazing ice pictures. We still have some snow, but no frost - for now. This has been a short and warm winter for us. I wonder what kind of summer we'll have.. Happy Wednesday evening, Peter!

  8. It looks as though a fountain was frozen instantly in an icy blast! Quite an effect, it's amazing to see the textures and patterns. I was shocked today to walk outdoors and find mostly grass showing everywhere, and rather warm temperatures. Spring is hopefully on the way.

  9. Whoa! Frozen movement, which should be a contradiction in terms. Great shots!

  11. Amazing photos, og, and very good timing. I needed cooling down, and ate an icy pole while I looked at your ice photos!

  12. Beautiful! Its infrequency makes ice even more intriguing when we get it. Thanks for capturing this lot so well!
