A slave to the Goddess Flora shares his garden adventures.

Although this could very well be a picture of me finding a new treasure at a favorite nursery, it's actually an illustration by David Catrow for a children's book called Plantzilla.
Dear lord! Amazing ice pictures (but in mid February? it's almost painful) Who's garden is it? Can we have a repeat visit when the ice is gone later in Spring? I'm a sucker for Before and After themes.
Amazing ice pictures. We still have some snow, but no frost - for now. This has been a short and warm winter for us. I wonder what kind of summer we'll have.. Happy Wednesday evening, Peter!
It looks as though a fountain was frozen instantly in an icy blast! Quite an effect, it's amazing to see the textures and patterns. I was shocked today to walk outdoors and find mostly grass showing everywhere, and rather warm temperatures. Spring is hopefully on the way.
Wow! I feel sorry for those beauties in the fountain! I'm glad our snow is gone, although I do love to look at snowy and icy pictures!
ReplyDeleteThose poor ladies do look cold! I'm also glad that the cold is gone but am not fond of the strong wind we got last night!
DeleteGreat pictures of the frozen fountain!
ReplyDeleteBrrr! But very sculptural and pretty though!
ReplyDeleteIt was lovely but I'm sure glad that it's gone!
DeleteWow, great shots!
ReplyDeleteEasier to take pictures of stuff that doesn't move. Thanks.

I'll definitely go back. The fountain is outside of a hair salon in Spanaway, WA. There is also a nice garden full of cool plants to check out.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Satu! I hope that your have a wonderful and warm spring and summer! But for now, may your winter continue to be delightful!
DeletePretty but ouch! I hope your melt starts soon.
ReplyDeleteWe're back to normal already. Hooray!
DeleteWow! no words for that!

ReplyDeleteIt's green again here and I'm sure ready for spring!
DeleteWhoa! Frozen movement, which should be a contradiction in terms. Great shots!
ReplyDeleteIt was a fun sight to see and photograph.
DeleteBeautiful! It looks like it was zapped with a freeze ray. I'm registered for the Bloggers Fling. See ya in July!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you're coming to the fling! We'll have a blast discussing the new teacher evaluation system :)
DeleteAmazing photos, og, and very good timing. I needed cooling down, and ate an icy pole while I looked at your ice photos!
ReplyDeleteGlad that these helped you with your summer heat!
DeleteBeautiful! Its infrequency makes ice even more intriguing when we get it. Thanks for capturing this lot so well!
ReplyDeleteThose poor naked ladies were sure cold! Always fun to share.
DeleteNice ice, baby!
