Although this could very well be a picture of me finding a new treasure at a favorite nursery, it's actually an illustration by David Catrow for a children's book called Plantzilla.

Wednesday Vignette

Visiting McAuliffe's Valley Nursery in Snohomish for the first time this summer, I noticed an interesting raised platform large enough for a speaker or performing group.  What was on stage at the moment?   White/cream has never been my favorite color of pot but these varied shapes against the emerald green backdrop with  elegant red side curtains were stunning.

Wednesday Vignette is hosted by my pal Anna at Flutter and Hum.  Click on over and join the party!

  1. Those pots indeed look stunning against that clean, green backdrop. The red guardian maples don't hurt the image either. Nice! Wonder what they use this new stage for? Fun musical events, perhaps?

  3. Those white pots would look lovely against a Mediterranean Sea backdrop.

  4. Oooh, I like those white pots, it appears they have a mottled or kind of pearlized look to them. Like Loree says, they'd look great in a sort of oceany garden, like one of those California succulent gardens that mimics the sea.

  5. And you got a cool reflection of the pots in that water puddle too!
