Although this could very well be a picture of me finding a new treasure at a favorite nursery, it's actually an illustration by David Catrow for a children's book called Plantzilla.

  1. So this is a full-size building? I think seeing that for real would be disturbing, which is the artist's aim from the sound of it.

    1. It is indeed a full sized building. It's pretty cool I think.

  2. So did Tom seek this out, or just stumble upon it? Just finding it out of the blue would indeed be a little alarming.

    1. He found it quite by accident; turned around and there in a courtyard was Alice.

  3. Wow! Astonishing scale. And yes, probably a bit disturbing in person but great as an image.

  4. Intriguing and thought provoking, especially after reading the information behind the installation. Obviously, Tom is making his way through southern Spain. I'll wait patiently for vignettes from Seville and Granada's Alhambra. Many fun memories come rushing back!

    1. I've got many Alhambra shots and some from Seville as well that will appear at some point.

  5. Very clever! I'm beginning to wonder how many of these vignettes from Spain you have tucked away.
