Although this could very well be a picture of me finding a new treasure at a favorite nursery, it's actually an illustration by David Catrow for a children's book called Plantzilla.

In a Vase in Monday - Whatever Lola Wants!

A busy weekend and few really great blooms in the garden means another quickie arrangement this Monday.  I dragged the "Lola" pots out of the butler's pantry along with a sansevieria that lives in one of them there.

The smallest pot got Tillandsia hair.

This bromeliad hat didn't seem quite right

so I grabbed a few flowers from last weeks arrangement because whatever Lola wants, Lola gets!

This trio went back into the butler's pantry to enjoy for the week.
In a Vase on Monday is hosted by the fabulously creative and dedicated Cathy at Rambling in the Garden.  Click here to see what others have brought inside from the garden to enjoy this week.

  1. Thanks for the link to the Damn Yankees clip, I've never seen that before! Love this trio of pots. I have a similar one, but of course mine is much more demure, she's home to a Christmas cactus and only really struts her stuff once a year, if that.

    1. The bromeliads (and snake plants) come inside for the winter as they're not hardy here.

  6. How fabulous Peter although just one solitary Lola sounds as if she could be rather high maintenance let alone three of them!
