There are community volunteers who organize into work groups and assist folks with gardens that ran out of control. Would anyone in your church know who may live there? chavlinesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10907844942343152129noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6598416695566325151.post-53959475168262449852016-04-26T21:09:19.673-07:002016-04-26T21:09:19.673-07:00Abandoned gardens are sad and wonderful at the sam...Abandoned gardens are sad and wonderful at the same time. There are two fairly nice homes (on huge lots) in our neighborhood that are empty and falling into disrepair (one of them had a lovely garden), it's crazy to think they're sitting there empty while smaller homes are selling for $$$ over asking in bidding wars.danger gardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09227500551609537140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6598416695566325151.post-13226906848725052142016-04-26T08:10:53.507-07:002016-04-26T08:10:53.507-07:00There's a house in my larger neighborhood that...There's a house in my larger neighborhood that I've been watching for years. Similar story--it had obviously been really loved, but is now falling apart. I spied a neighbor one day and we talked for a bit. I got the impression that the owners are very very ill and needing help. It bothers me, now, because I don't really know how to step up and help people I don't know, with whom I have never spoken, and have never even seen.
