The lavender/silver color of that mahonia is truly wonderful and I'm happy to have it look that way year round but red is such a warm and welcome color especially this time of year.outlawgardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08273973572989510382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6598416695566325151.post-60154987107858476902016-01-20T07:26:50.734-08:002016-01-20T07:26:50.734-08:00It's a beauty that I found online. It's a beauty that I found online.outlawgardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08273973572989510382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6598416695566325151.post-75038480035624785602016-01-20T07:26:31.757-08:002016-01-20T07:26:31.757-08:00We're lucky to live in a climate that allows f...We're lucky to live in a climate that allows for so much evergreen foliage!outlawgardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08273973572989510382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6598416695566325151.post-26030208449169397082016-01-20T07:25:55.282-08:002016-01-20T07:25:55.282-08:00Ma Nature sometimes messes with our plans. There were a lot of seedlings from which to choose and they were quite variable in appearance. Evan at The Practical Plant Geek got his and one he gave to Loree at the same time. Evan's has turned bright red this winter which he attributes to drought stress from this summer. outlawgardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08273973572989510382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6598416695566325151.post-63833174110081462842016-01-20T07:19:51.860-08:002016-01-20T07:19:51.860-08:00It's a baby in a less than a six inch pot. I'm never sure if I want 'Ascot Rainbow' or not, but I do love that orange blush it gets in the winter. You may like the stressed color of my silver Mahonia, but I really wish mine was silver like yours.

Evan Beanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06732413653862912387noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6598416695566325151.post-63582726978767976422016-01-19T18:43:03.820-08:002016-01-19T18:43:03.820-08:00Agave 'Cream Spike'.. droollll...Agave 'Cream Spike'.. droollll...Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14528403806024368437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6598416695566325151.post-48406353718283294272016-01-19T14:00:50.473-08:002016-01-19T14:00:50.473-08:00¡¡I like the Alstromeria! and the Spanish Moss see...¡¡I like the Alstromeria! and the Spanish Moss seems to be alive.
