I recently visited one in Seattle where the line of cars donating stuff took up half of the parking lot. Many people are in simplify mode and getting rid of things that they don't use on a daily basis. After the American Civil War, this became quite a popular pastime in the U.S. Blank glazed china (blanks) were sent to the U.S. by Limoges and other makers. (http://www.collectorsjournal.com/columns/hand-painted-china-was-a-popular-hobby/article_45d3cfea-5a75-11e7-a2f4-9fd190694768.html <br />This piece may be of that vintage. There is no maker's mark on the ware but a painted signature of the woman who painted it. Glad you enjoyed the arrangement; I was certainly thrilled to find this vase for such a low price!outlawgardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08273973572989510382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6598416695566325151.post-12533877160082484812017-10-16T21:14:01.010-07:002017-10-16T21:14:01.010-07:00Some of my random throwing things into vases work ...Some of my random throwing things into vases work better than others. They still thrill me and luckily there are lots of oaks in the park up the street and after a wind we can find a few with caps still on. They do like to pop off so if I keep the acorns, a hot glue gun helps keep them attached. outlawgardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08273973572989510382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6598416695566325151.post-80593694388555392642017-10-16T19:41:10.331-07:002017-10-16T19:41:10.331-07:00Wonderful colors!
